THE BLACK EXHIBITION | FROM CANNES TO RIO echoes Rio+20, the United Nations
Conference on Sustainable Development which gathers from June 20 to 22 the world leaders
to define pathways to a safer, cleaner, greener more equitable and prosperous world.
ACT Responsible wishes to allow Cannes Lions delegates coming from all over the world
to take part in the Rio+20 debate and to show their concern and commitment to
environmental and social causes.
Created specifically for the event by Sunset Productions, Magic Garden and Zinc
Installations, the unique setting shelters the visitor from the excitement of the Croisette.
Immersed in a dark background and unique sound atmosphere, challenged by children's
voices, visitors will discover amazing advertising campaigns cast on cubic structures. The
themes represented reflects the main concerns of the Rio+20 Summit: Poverty, Solidarity,
Energy, Water, Biodiversity, Forests, Human rights, Health, Climate change, Social
responsibility...
The exhibition ends with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon inviting the visitors
to engage in the debate: "We are gathered in Rio to discuss the future of our children. We
need the creative minds here in Cannes to join the conversation! "
To take part, visitors may send their messages on Twitter, via a screen in connection with the
Rio +20 conference. And to show their support, they will be prompted to create an "I care"
card to be displayed on a wall of ACT'ivists pictures accessible via a QR Code or internet.
