CONNECTING THE DOTS.
Save the date: Monday 19 to Friday 23, 10am-6pm.
In its 21st edition, ACT Responsible has partnered with Cannes Lions to create the ACT Responsible Hall, a unique venue situated at the heart of the festival. This dedicated space aims to emphasise the advertising industry’s responsibility and promote sustainable programs.
A highlight of the hall is the premiere of the Great Ads for Good exhibition, showcasing 113 international social and environmental campaigns from 86 agencies representing 107 advertisers across 29 countries. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite campaigns in the exhibition either online at greatadsforgood.org from June 14th to June 21st or in person from June 19th to June 21st. The results of the voting will be announced on June 22nd at 5pm at RTL Beach, along with the Champions of Good recognition, which honours inspiring personalities for their exceptional contributions to advancing social and environmental causes through their personal efforts.
“The ACT Tributes to Creativity and Champions of Good is the highlight of our week as it enables the Association to fulfil its primary mission of promoting exceptional work to a wide audience, » says Sophie Guérinet, co-founder and head of content. Last year’s campaigns received over 5,000 votes, effectively showcasing remarkable content and inspiring a broader audience.
New for this year, the ACT Responsible Hall will also serve as a platform to bring together initiatives and programs developed by key players in the industry. This initiative aims to stimulate conversations about sustainability in marketing communications, promoting the sharing of good practices and inspiring action among industry professionals. The goal is to create a collaborative environment where ideas and experiences can be exchanged, fostering a collective effort towards a more sustainable future in the field of marketing communications.
« We are thrilled to welcome inspiring initiatives from around the world. Over the past few years, significant progress has been made, and as ACT serves as the meeting point for a responsible industry, we believe it is time to connect the dots and propel the industry towards greater sustainability, » remarks Isa Kurata, co-founder responsible for development.
